Integrated Design Project- Airline Seat for Back Pain

Aimed at resolving back pain that primarily occurs at 3 points- the upper back (UB), mid-back (MB) and the lower back (LB). Especially for women with curved backs. This redesigned airline seat eliminates back pain by being reclinable at the 3 points. All angles shown below. Mechanism explained in the video.

The Video- bending mechanisms and process from scratch. Special thanks to my grandfather for sharing with me his architectural knowledge as I carefully cut through the fragile balsa wood with my sawyer. Although he is no more with me, I will always cherish his guidance in this project, close to my heart.
